Nestled in the heart of New York City’s Greenwich Village, Maestro is not just a restaurant; it’s an experience, a love affair with fresh pasta that has been our passion for generations. Our journey began with a simple dream: to bring the flavors of Northern Italy to the bustling streets of the Big Apple. Today, we are proud to say that we have become a beloved institution, a place where tradition meets innovation in the world of fresh pasta.

OUR STORY

Maestro Pasta was founded by Alessandro Morani, who moved to the United States from Parma Italy, a Unesco Heritage site for gastronomy. Since 2019 Alessandro and his team started to show New Yorkers the art of pasta-making. The recipes we use today have been handed down through generations, each one refined and perfected to create the mouthwatering dishes that grace our menu.

At Maestro, we are committed to using only the finest, imported ingredients and traditional Italian techniques to create pasta that is a true work of art. Our skilled chefs meticulously handcraft each pasta shape, ensuring that every bite is a celebration of flavor and texture. We believe that great pasta is born from the perfect marriage of fresh, high-quality ingredients and the care and skill that only experienced hands can provide.

"Just moved to New York and I walked by this place, was attracted by the environment with live music going on a Thursday night (live music Sunday too). Had a solo dinner at the bar where you can see the chefs cook. Perfect. The owner made my first dinner in NYC very memorable and a great success. You can tell a lot of heart goes into this spot! Staff was also so friendly and brought great vibes. Had the truffle mushroom ravioli… soooo good. And plenty of wonderful wine. Definitely get it! I’ll be back for sure :)"
